The company sold 49,000 units of the Skoda Enyaq iV during 2021 which is 212% higher than the Skoda EV sales during 2020.
During the last quarter of 2021 alone, the overall Skoda EV sales amounted to 17,000 units which is a 198% improvement as compared to Q4 of 2020 and shows that Skoda EVs are quickly gaining popularity.
Skoda Standing At Number 3 In EV Sales Among VW Group
It is also pertinent to mention that Skoda is a part of the German VW group and the company was able to bag EV sales that made it stand third in the VW group itself.
The overall ranking as well as the number of EVs sold by different manufacturers was as under
– Volkswagen sold 263,200 EVs;
– Audi sold 81,900 EVs;
– Skoda sold 46,100 EVs.
EVs now represent a total of 5.6% of the total Skoda sales and this is significant because the company sells its EVs only to the European market.
